Community Center Master Plan.

Salt Lake
County is in the process of master planning for a
community center in the East Millcreek area. The site is
located on Evergreen Avenue and currently houses a
library, recreation center, and a park with pavilion,
playing fields and other amenities. With the age of the
park and existing buildings combined with the need for
additional services, the County is looking at ways to
provide these and other services while accommodating the
growing and changing needs of the community. Since the
site poses a challenge to accomplish this task, the
County is interested in obtaining input from the
surrounding communities as part of the master planning
process. We invite you to participate.

There have been a number of residents ask if this
designation will prohibit them from subdividing their
property, remodeling their home or replacing it. The
answer is no. The historic designation offers financial
incentives to encourage homeowners to keep their homes
as original as practically possible. Several residents
have already taken advantage of these incentives in our
